Volcano Web Quest----- Berney Fourth Grade
Introduction:
Our world leaders are trying to learn all they can about
volcanoes so that they can predict future eruptions. They
are counting on you to give them some facts about volcanoes
around the world.
Task:
Your task is to select one volcano to study and present your
findings to the world leaders. You or your team of 3 volcanologists
will find facts about your selected volcano and prepare a 2 or 3 page
power point presentation to display your information to the world.
Process:
Your team of 3 volcanologists (people who study volcanoes) will select
a volcano from the list provided. You will then use the web resources
provided to find the following: where it's located, height, last eruption
date, and damage (if any) caused by last eruption. Your team will develop
a project shoulder patch. You will make a power point presentation showing
what you have learned about your volcano.

Evaluation:
Evaluation (your grade or score) will be determined by the completion
of each task and the thoroughness (how much information your provided)
of each. (See Evaluation Checklist). Your team must have successfully listed
your volcano's location, height, eruption date (s), and damage caused. You
must have designed a team shoulder patch for your volcano as well as
developed a 2 to 3 page power point presentation showing this
information.
