The Millennials Program provides several options for your student's academic improvement. See below for a brief description of the academic services provided.
8th Period is the Millennials Program's "READING & WRITING" study hall. The study hall is operated in an "open room" format in which students are encouraged to come and develop their literacy skills after school. 8th Period is staffed with exceptional tutors ranging in backgrounds from college students (Whitman, WWC, & WWCC) to retired WWPS District teachers. In addition, 8th Period caters to Social Studies, Arts, & Science.

Math Lab is the Millennials Program's "MATHEMATICS" study Hall. The study hall is also an "open room" format and is operated similarly to 8th Period. The Garrison Middle School math department manages the daily operations of the study hall. Currently, math teacher John Buissink is the director of operations. Tutor staff consists of mathematics majors from Whitman and Walla Walla College.

"0" Period is a combination of both 8th Period and Math Lab. "0" Period is provided for those students who cannot attend after school study tutorials. Please consider "0" Period as a viable alternative option for your student's academic needs, especially during "late start" Wednesdays (see schedule below).

The Millennials Program has the essential resources to provide your student with exceptional one on one tutoring. Students engaged in our "One on One" program will receive individual attention focused on areas of academic deficiency. Students will be paired with tutors specially trained in strategic tutoring. Strategic tutoring helps students develop the confidence and requisite skill sets necessary to succeed in school.
