This is my seventeenth year teaching and I am still loving it! Before becoming a teacher I used to work as a field biologist
in Olympic National Park and on fishing boats in the Bering Sea
and Gulf of Alaska. I also taught environmental education at The
Environmental Learning Center in northern Minnesota and for
the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry's Hancock Field Station in
central Oregon. My fascination for science combined with
my passion for teaching led me to becoming a teacher.
I currently live in Walla Walla with my husband
Joe. I love to travel and these past few years I have traveled to
Thailand, Australia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador and the Galapagos
Islands. I also like to walk, bike, hike, camp, knit, draw and
read books.
